Aled Williams, Deputy Director, Higher
Education Academy
Centre for Education in Built Environment, University
of Salford
Bibby Rumbelow have been active in a number of pioneering projects and resource
development that will bring significant benefits to the sector. Judy
and Darryl's commitment to learning that is embedded in and contributes
to practice, is something of a mission. It makes them highly effective change
agents.
Caroline Quest, Managing Director Queen Mary Innovation, Queen Mary University
of London
Bibby Rumbelow has carried out
two reviews of CPD activity in different Faculties of the College
and provided detailed recommendations for service improvement
and development. Their analysis and expertise has added real value
to our in-house effort and been enormously helpful. We are about
to start a new project with them spanning enterprise activities
across three higher education institutions. I have no hesitation
in highly recommending them to others who are looking for professional
and expert KT service development advice.
Elain Crewe, Director of Professional and Flexible Learning,
University of Leicester
BibbyRumbelow delivered a series
of staff development workshops to staff from various functions
across the University of Leicester. The aim of the sessions
was to provide a forum for discussing employer engagement as well as for developing
understanding of various aspects of employer engagement. Both Judy and
Darryl were extremely supportive and professional both in agreeing the approach
to be taken and in delivering the sessions. They were sensitive to the
particular context in which Leicester is working and the feedback from colleagues
was very positive. As the project Director, I have found the sessions
extremely useful and informative.
Laura Woods, Director of Academic Enterprise,
University of Teesside
Teesside University has put workforce development at the heart of its business
engagement strategy. Our SDF employer engagement initiative will
see the creation of at least 850 co-funded FTEs by 2010/11, along with the embedding
of workforce development as a mainstream activity across the institution. Effective
staff development is central to our overall strategy, and the support and advice
we’ve had from Bibby Rumbelow in creating and delivering a high-quality
programme have been excellent. The real added value comes from their knowledge
and understanding of HE and of the cultural and practical challenges of engaging
with employers.
Renata D Eyres, Professorial Fellow, Head of Business-led Learning and
Development

Bibby Rumbelow provide a very
professional service which is
tailored to the specific needs of the organisation. They worked
closely with us to understand our specific needs and the organisational
culture to ensure that the outcomes of the activities were relevant
and very applicable across the whole organisation. I would highly
recommend them for a bespoke service to meet your organisational
and business needs.
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust
Head of Workforce Development
As an NHS Mental Health and Learning
Disability Trust, we have been
working with Judy Rumbelow and
Darryl Bibby, through the Coventry University Employer Engagement
Programme for the last 18 months. This was initially to look at
developing and delivering the "Creating Capability Programme",
a unique programme of management and leadership development, that
is delivered within the work place and integrates academic learning
with everyday workplace experience. Judy and Darryl have been
innovative and creative in engaging with the Trust to develop
a programme that is tailored to the needs of individual groups
of staff, whilst at the same time maintaining the high academic
standard that is set by the University.
Parcelforce Worldwide
Head of People and Organisation Development Programmes
I first met Judy and Darryl when
they came from Coventry University to talk to us about a customised
learning and development programme they had designed for team
leaders and middle managers. Their approach was different because
they made efforts to really understand our business by listening
to what we needed. It was very refreshing to find two people from
a mainly academic background who were able to apply their knowledge
and experience to a set of business issues in a way that was easily
understood and provided a practical solution to the challenge
of learning and development in a 24/7 business. |
